GiRlS dAy!!!

The girls and I got up this morning and took Brad to the airport. He is in Texas for the next week. After going by gramma & grampa's house in Vancouver, WA - I decided to make today a girls day and spend some time together since we have the day off. We went to lunch at Sushi Boat. They have been wanting to try it. I do need to say that they didn't really try any sushi - but they did have fun grabbing edamame, watermelon, spring rolls and chocolate cake. After lunch we went and got manicures and pedicures. We had a lot of fun ... just us girls!!

They got to pick out their own nail polish color. Kenna picked red with sparkles.
Ashlyn picked hot pink with sparkles in it.

It is so cool - they each had their own dvd player to watc watever movie they wanted. There were tons to cse from.

Here are my toes. The girls wanted me to take a picture of mine also. I did not get my fingers done because I work to much ... dishes, laudry, floors, stc. to waste my money on my nails to get them chipeed the very next day!

After 2 hours of telling Ahyn to go take a nap ... she finally crashed the living room sofa.

Ashlyn and her Boyfriend

Today was Layden's birthday. For those of you who do not know - Layden has been Ashlyn's "boyfriend" for 2 years now. They go to daycare together. She has informed me that they are going to get married and move to Hawaii where they will have one baby, a girl and they will name her Matalie - OH BOY!!! Here are a few pictures from the party at Chuck E Cheese.

There was quite a bit of this .... KISSING!!! Every time I would say "let me take your picture" - hey would kiss Ashlyn. And not just on the cheek, but on the lips! We had to sit down and have a talk. Being friends is OK - but kissing ... WOW - not OK!!

My Birthday

This year for my birthday the girls and I got up and went on a family walk at a park in Lake Oswego to participate in the Portland Corporate Games with some people that I work with. I was so excited that this is one of the few years that it was actually sunny on my birthday (it usually rains). It was beautiful! We went to breakfast afterwards and then Brad made seared ahi tuna for dinner with crab legs, sticky rice, garlic green beans and sake. It was a very nice birthday!! Below are some pictures from the day.

Kenna wanted to see how her hair turned out. I did Ashlyn's the same way.

Mitch works down in the surgery center and he was there with his wife and baby. Judy works in DME and she came with her husband Don and puppy Calli. The girls had fun playing with Calli and giving her treats (carrots).

This is Kenna's beautiful cake. She wanted something very specific. Chocolate cake with chocolate mousse filling and white frosting with pink writing. Auntie Linda brought the chocolate cross for Kenna. It really was a beautiful cake - yummy also even though they messed up and it was white cake. Kenna didn't even realize it.
