Growing Up So Fast!

Thank you Miss Kamina for this wonderful picture of Kenna. She is growing up so fast into such a beautiful little lady. We are so lucky to have Miss Kamina there to take such amazing pictures of the girls for us - we are truly blessed!

The Lucas Girls Cool Off!!

I am not sure if you know or not .... but we have been having a heat wave here in the Pacific Northwest and it has been HOT!!! It is not very often that we get into the 90's here - but these past few days it has been well over 100 and humid - UGH!! Luckily we are fortunate enough to have AC and can get in out of the heat. We have been going to swim lessons and lots of time playing in the sprinklers to keep cool. The girls love the sprinklers!!

Elizabeth's Princess Birthday Lunch

Ashlyn's BFF Elizabeth had a birthday party last weekend that we were not able to go to because we were on vacation in Sun River. Their friend Gracie's dad is also in the oil industry, so she was also in Sun River and missed the birthday party. So I thought wouldn't it be great if after we got back we got the girls together to celebrate her birthday . We decided to have a birthday lunch at Red Robin. Then Jeannie, Grace's mom said "why not make it a princess lunch". That was such a good idea ... the girls had a blast. Check out the pictures below of the fun afternoon!

Our Trip to Sunriver, Oregon

It was that time of year again ... our trip to Sunriver. We LOVE it there. There is so much to do - biking, walking, rafting, swimming, playing with friends and so much more. Once again Uncle Spencer & Auntie Bett were there. We didn't get to see a lot of them because there were there working. But some is better than none! The girls friend Grace from Small World was there also because her dad works for an oil company, so there are there for the same conference that Brad is there for. We got to have a lot of fun playing & swimming with Grace this year.

Our Trip to the Zoo with the Coopers

The Coopers' are in Oregon visiting for the summer and I am so excited. I haven't seen Erin in almost 4 years. She moved to Arizona, and it seems we never go home to California to visit at the same time. We decided to take the kids to the zoo and we had a really good time. I hope we get to do a few more things together before they have to go back home at the beginning of August.

Visiting Cousin Joey & Nikki

Auntie Donna & Cliff are in town visiting and Joey & Nikki invited us over for dinner and to see all the improvements they have done on the house since we were there last time (they have done a fantastic job - doesn't even look like the same place).

They live in Astoria which is a really cool beach town on the Oregon coast. It is about 2.5 hours from Portland. Thanks for having us over guys - it was fun! Let's not wait so long next time!!

This is the fish they have hanging on the wall in the bathroom. The girls love it. It is one of the things they remembered from the last visit. Kenna took this picture - we couldn't leave without it.

4th of July

I have decided that late is better than not at all. So I am a little behind in my posting ... oh well! We had our annual 4th of July block party again this year. It is always so much fun - we eat, play games, have a water balloon fight & have lots and lots of fireworks! Here are some pictures from the party.

Thanks Gramma & Grampa for the pinata, the kids loved it - and all that candy!

I think this is Brad's favorite part ... playing with fire!
