Auntie Miss Bett and her Flower Girls

Ok - so I was never able to find any really good pictures of the girls in their flower girl dresses at the wedding, but I did find these pictures that I took before the wedding to show Miss Bett what the dresses looked like on the girls. Did I tell you all what a big DORK I am?? Here goes - after the wedding when i got back home, I took the girls dresses to the dry cleaners to get cleaned because they were so dirty. I wanted to make sure that I told them about the black sharpie pen Kenna got on her dress before the wedding when she was drawing pictures. (yep - leave it to Kenna). So, when I was explaing to the lady what happened I noticed that the dress with the sharpie on it was a size 4 ... Kenna wears a 6. Yep - that's right - the girls wore the wrong dress to the wedding. I had Kenna's on Ash and Ashlyn's on Kenna. Good thing you couldn't tell and no one even noticed!

Here is a picture of Auntie Miss Bett and the girls. Don't they all look so BEAUTIFUL??!

The Girls Getting Ready For the Wedding

Here are some pictures of the girls getting ready for Spencer and Bett's wedding. For those of you who do not know who Spencer and Bett are ... Spencer is Brad's younger brother and he and Miss Bett got married today. I didn't have my camera at the wedding because the girls got a hold of it last night and took tons of pictures when they were supposed to be sleeping and my battery died. Brad had his camera at the wedding, but he is still in Tacoma on business. When he gets home I will look through and post some pictures from the wedding - it was very beautiful!

Here is Ashlyn after I finished doing her make up. She LOVES to wear make up. I am in trouble when she gets older.

Here is the finished product. I told Ashy that her hair looked like gramma's hair up in a bee hive. She laughed. They both looked so cute and the hair-dos matched their personalities.

Here is Kenna getting her hair done. I was trying to talk to her and ask her questions, but she would not answer me. Finally she said "stop talking to me mommy - the lady said I have to sit still and that means I can't talk to you right now" ... so there!!

Ashlyn had a blast. She was being such a ham - she was cracking everyone up in the salon. She was done first so she started talking to herself in the mirror and making faces - it was so funny! She looked very cute with her hair up like this.

Our Little Irish Girl

Miss Kamina took this picture for me of Ashlyn. Kenna was all dresed up looking so very cute also - but we were running so late and had to get to school - I just figured that we would get a picture of the both of them after school. Unfortunately Kenna has an earache and her school called and I had to go pick her up early and take her to the doctors. She was just not feeling up to having her picture taken today. Hopefully I can get her to get dressed up again and post the picture a bit later. I am off to finish making dinner - burbon baked corned beef and cabbage of course. Uncle Steve, Auntie Ana, cousin Walt, Gramma & Grampa will be joining us for dinner. Happy St. Patrick's Day Everyone!!

Cousins

I have been meaning to post these pictures for a while now. I love these pictures of Kenna, Ashlyn and their cousin Walter. Walter's mom and dad (Steve and Ana) went to Washington DC a couple weeks ago and grammy and grampy came to stay and watch Walt. They came over for dinner a couple of times and I took these pictures of the kids playing together. They were having so much fun. Walter is getting older now and can hang out with his cousins.

It Is Starting Already!

Here we are - it is starting already. Miss Kamina was nice enough to send me these pictures that she took at school last week. This is Ashlyn and her "BOYFRIEND" Layden. She is only 4 years old and way too young to have a boyfriend. Her daddy keeps telling her that he is the only boy she is allowed to kiss until she is 35. Look at how well she listenes. I went to pick her up yesterday and they were standing by the door looking out holding hands. I don't know how I am going to handle the whole dating thing when they get older ... they are my babies!!

Our Big Girl Ashlyn

We just got home from the mall and we were there to get Ashlyn's ears pierced. She has been asking me for over a year now if she can get her ears pierced. I have been waiting for Kenna to be ready so they could have it done at the same time ... but I am not sure that day will ever come. Their friend Bella got her ears pierced for her birthday in January and she told Kenna that it hurt A LOT. Kenna has decided that she does not even need to get her ears pierced. Since she is going to be a "Rock Star - she just needs to get her lip pierced" Over my dead body!!
So I picked the girls up early from day care today. We went and got Kenna's hair cut and then it was off to Claire's for the big moment. Kenna kept trying to talk Ashlyn out of it telling her how much it was going to hurt. I was honest with her and told her it would probably sting like a shot for a minute - but it will pass. She decided to do it anyway. She picked out which earings she wanted (pink flowers). She was not nervous at all - she even had a crowd start to gather around to watch. I was smart and called the store in advance to make sure there would be 2 people there so they could do both sides at the same time. She was so good - she didn't even cry until they were done. At that point she didn't even want to look at them. 5 minutes passed and she was ready to look. She is very excited to be a big girl and can't wait for the 2 months to pass until she gets to go pick out a new pair to put on!
