8 Years Ago ....

I can't believe it. 8 years ago today I was in Lake Tahoe getting married to Brad. Where has the time gone? It seems like it was just yesterday - WOW I am feeling old. Happy Anniversary!

I Can't Believe It

So I got up this morning with every intention to catch up with all my posting that I have neglected. Let's see - I was going to post about: Spencer & Bett's wedding, the Easter egg hunt at Alpenrose Dairy (that was a lot of fun and the second year in a row we have taken the girls), Easter, my trip to LA to see my family and to go to Grandma's 85th birthday party, pictures of Grace & Dylan and Kenna's science fair (which was last night). I was excited to share all the photos with all of you. I got up this morning and went downstairs and Kenna had gone into my purse and took my camera out to take some pictures of her own. I had over 125 pictures stored in my camera to download ... when I looked at them this morning all that was there were 109 photos of the TV, Ashlyn and Kenna. She had deleted all of my pictures!!! I guess this has taught me to download them as I go and not to wait so long to post. I can't believe it - I am so sad!! I promise to be much better at this in the future.

Kenna's Science Fair

Congratulations to Kenna for a great job on her science project again this year. She did her project on static electricity and she has a great time doing it. Of course we waited until the last minute to get it done again this year, but when it came time to explain to the judges what it was all about ... she was so excited and knew what she was talking about. We are so proud of her. Of course I originally had some really great pictures that I took at the actual Science Fair at the school. Unfortunately - they were part of pictures that are gone forever. Oh well - this is better than nothing!

My Trip To LA

I went to LA all by myself for the first time in a very long time. It was grandma's 85th birthday and I wanted to be there. Here are some pictures from my trip.

This is my niece Kirra. She is 2 years old and a little cuttie.

Above Left: This is Tracy and baby Dylan. Look at all that hair.
Below that: Shelby and baby Dylan. She is practicing for when it is her turn. (just for the record - she is not pregnant ... YET!!)
Bottom: Stacey and baby Gracie. I guess we will not be able to call her that too much longer. She is a big girl now.

This is my "sexy" brother Eddie ... he MUST be working out.
Here is my sister and me at grandma's birthday breakfast. I had a really good time. It was way to short.

Decorating Cookies for Easter

Here are a few pictures of the girls decorating cookies for Easter. I cooked all the cookies the night before and had them ready for the girls to decorate after Ashlyn's nap on Easter day.

I had a few different colors of frosting and some cany decorations. It is so funny to watch how different they each are. Ashlyn just globs it all on and dumps a bunch of candy on hers - making sure to get plenty on her fingers so she can lick it all off.
Kenna on the other hand is very percise. She takes her time and makes sure she gets it just right. Not too much and not too little. In the time it took Kenna to finish one cookie - Ashlyn did 5 or 6.

Easter Morning

So for the 4th year in a row ... the Easter Bunny left the hidden Easter eggs in the living room for the girls to find. Once again it was raining outside. It was beautiful earlier this week - but
of course the rain waited for today to come.

This is the way we start Easter and Christmas. The girls get up and then they have to wait for daddy to get out of bed. Once daddy is up & getting ready, the girls go to the top of the stairs and wait for us. I go to the bottom & take too many pictures so they have to wait even longer to get downstairs and see what goodies have been brought for them. They hate this part and can't wait to get it over with.
Here are the girls with all their loot from the Easter Bunny. They made out well this year (like always).

Uncle Kevin was here with us this year.
He tried to be sneaky and steal the Easter eggs from the girls. He wanted all the My Little Ponies & The Littlest Pet Shop toys all for himself - but Kenna caught him and would not allow that to happen.

HAPPY EASTER!!

Decorating Easter Eggs

The girls couldn't wait until it was time to decorate the Easter eggs this year. They were having so much fun mixing all the colors together.
This was Kenna's favorite egg that she dyed. She wanted to add stickers to it - but we did not have any this year. I will have to remember to get some for next year.

Here is Ashlyn's favorite. You can't really tell but it has a really cool orange hue to it. If you didn't already know - orange is her favorite color. If I would let her, I am sure she would have tried to dye all of her eggs orange.

Gramma and grampa were here with us again this year. They both helped us decorate all 2 dozen eggs. We had A LOT of colors this year. Normal and neon colors - we had a blast.

This is how daddy, Uncle Kevin and Miss Heidi helped out with decorating the Easter eggs. They were watching the fire outside in the back yard to make sure nothing happened. Yeah sure!! That's OK - more for us to do!!

Easter Egg Hunt

Here are some pictures from the Easter egg hunt at Alpenrose Dairy. This is the second year in a row we have gone and the girls just love it. This year we had the girls go at the same time on the same field - it was much easier - and Ashlyn had no problem going with the older kids.

The point of the Easter egg hunt is to try and find the little chocolate foil eggs with the stickers on them. The eggs with the stickers are for prizes after the hunt. This year we ended up with 6 lucky eggs. The girls won: 2 cowboy hats, a stuffed bunny, a big candy filled egg, a slice of pie from Shari's resturant and something else I can't remember what it was. They have one for mom's also - the big prize is a pair of dimond earrings. I may try to participate in that one next year, but I am not sure. Those moms get mean. They wear knee and elbow pads and all the rules go right out the window. How badley do I need a pair of dimond earrings?? We shall see next year.
