Brad's New Car

This is Brad's new car ... a 2008 BMW Alpina B7. We
went to the movies tonight to see the movie Taken with Kevin & Heidi. After the movie (9:15 pm) he wanted to just stop by to "look" at the car. I told him I didn't think it would be open ... but we went anyway. They were closed but he knocked on the window because he saw someone in there. Went in at 9:15 and out by 11pm with another new car! He LOVES it. We went out driving ... it goes Super Fast! This is his 3rd BMW in three years - what is he going to upgrade to next year???

I have to disagree - BIG time!!
Thanks so much to Gramma & Grampa, Auntie Linda - Uncle Mike & Cousin Kyle, Auntie Shanny - Uncle Kori - Kodee & Kirra, Uncle Eddie & Auntie Bebe, Auntie Judi, Uncle Larry & Beth Anne Poop, Auntie Donna & Uncle Cliff, Auntie Courtney & Uncle Mike, Woltkamp Family and Price Family for all the wonderful Christmas gifts you sent up for us! I Went Back To School!

For those of you that don't know ... I decided to go back to school. I am going to Pioneer Pacific College and am enrolled in the Bachelors of Science program for Medical Assisting with Limited X-Ray. I am actually very excited and a bit nervous because it has been so long since I have been in a classroom and have had to study, read, take tests and quizes. I am really excited to learn that I have enrolled just in time for the term of injections lab. I get to give other classmates shots and they in return will give me shots and then I get to give myself two (one in the thigh and one in the stomach). This is an excellerated course - I will be done in May, 2010. I am going to be very busy for the next year - but I am so excited to see what is in my future. I have always wanted to work with people in the medical field ... I am just not sure what took me so long to actually just go and do it!!

The Girls First Time Roller Skating

The girls were invited to go to Bella's birthday party at Skate World. They were so excited because they had never been skating before. For the 2 weeks leading up to the birthday party, all I heard was "is it the party time yet" over and over again. Well it was Sunday and time for the party. We got there - got our skates (poor Ashlyn had to wear skates that were 2 sizes too big becase that was the smallest they had available). It took us 20 minutes to get around the rink once and Kenna was done. Ash and I were off for a second time around and she was done. So I am thining that it will be a while before we go back to the Skate World again. Just for the record they had a great time at the birthday party ... just not big on the whole skating thing yet!

Kenna liked to skate on the carpet!

And Ashlyn too ....

This is why it took Kenna so long to get around. She didn't want any help until people got around us. Once they went by she was on her own again.

tHe OrEgOn ZoO

This is Sam and his mom Rose. Sam was born on August 23, 2008. The girls and I have been wanting to go to the zoo to meet him and luckily he was outside playing today while we were there. We had a good time watching him run around and play with the other elephants and their trainers. It was such a nice day at the zoo today. It was a little chilly 38 degrees but not crowded at all.
It is a special treat to feed the birds when we go to the zoo. The girs really enjoy this. Kenna is always a bit nervous at first ... but loves it when they come climb on her. Ashlyn had 3 birds on her at one point ... I was not fast enough with the camera to get the picture. After this we went to see the bugs!

I asked the girls as we were leaving the zoo what their favorite thing to see was this time and this was their response:
Kenna's favorite this time was the birds and Ashlyn's favorite was seeing the elephants & the alligator. We will see what their favorite is next time.

Our Future Duck

Ashlyn came to me on Tuesday night when she was supposed to be long asleep and told me that she had been up thinking and she needed me to send Miss Kamina an email "right away" - so I did. This is what she said ....

I have been thinking and I am going to dress like a princess for school tomorrow. I have to fall asleep before Arjun (a boy in her class) so I can go back to Miss Kamina's class. Please tell her that I want her to take lots of pictures of me tomorrow. So I did. Ashlyn got up on Wednesday morning and decided instead of wearing a princess dress she was going to be a cheerleader. Thank you Miss Kamina for following Ashlyn's directions to take lots of pictures. Here were a couple.

She also let me know that when she grows up she is going to be a mermaid and I need to make her a real mermaid dress. Her Ariel costume that she wore for Halloween is not good enough ... it is not "real".

I have my hands full with this one!!

We are so lucky to have good friends like you. Ivanoffs thanks for keeping with the tradition and spending each New Year with us. We always have a blast when our families get together.
