HALLOWEEN 2011

For the Friday before Halloween this year - the girls dressed up for school. Thanks to Gramma & Grampa for the Halloween shirts & thanks to Auntie Linda & Uncle Mike for the Halloween socks & gloves.

This year I decided that we didn't need to buy new Halloween costumes. They have so many from the previous years that will still fit them for at least 1 more year. So we went through the tub, sent the Ariel costume to cousin Kiki to wear this year. Kenna decided she wanted to be the flapper & Ashlyn decided to wear her Super girl costume again this year. We took the Polaris out and drove door to door. Our neighbors are too far away to walk to & it is way too dark. Even though they only hit about 7 - 10 houses, they still came home with half a bag of candy which is plenty!

Brad's pumpkin this year.

Ashlyn's pumpkin this year. She designed it herself! Kenna wanted her pumpkin to look like Jack from the Nightmare Before Christmas - daddy helped her.

Mine is Mickey Mouse. I cheat and use a stencil every year!

Happy Halloween!!

Harvest Festival

Today we went to the girls school for the Harvest Festival. The girls dressed up in their costumes. Kenna was a Vampiress and Ashlyn was Super Girl. They played games, had pizza and played with their friends.

Oh no - Ashlyn got put in jail!

Kenna getting her fortune read. She was told - "She would get more candy this year than ever before". Ashlyn was told: "She would be able to eat as much candy as she wanted and not get any cavities".

Happy Birthday Ashlyn

Happy 7th birthday Ashlyn. Let me say - this year was a marathon birthday. It started off with having her friend Grace stay with us for the weekend because her parents were out of town. Ash decided she wanted to go to lunch at Chuck-E-Cheese with Brad since he had a business event to go to that night. Then for dinner we met Gramma, Grampa, Auntie Linda & cousin Kyle at Big Als for some bowling. Then Uncle Steve, Auntie Ana, Walter & Maggie joined us for dinner, cupcakes and lots & lots of games. Then on Saturday she had a slumber party with Kenna, Grace, Elizabeth, and Olivia. The theme this year was dolphin luau. They ate pizza and junk food, watched movies in the movie room. This year Ashlyn told me she didn't want a cake or cupcakes for dessert - she wanted me to decorate sugar cookie in flowers & butterflies - so that is what I did. I hope you had a wonderful birthday Ash - we love you so much!!!

Mickey's Trick Or Treat Party

This year for the girls Christmas present gramma & grampa surprised them with tickets to go to Mickey Mouses Trick-or-Treat party. The girls were so excited and they had so much fun especially since gramma came with us. They got loads of candy, saw a bunch of characters, went on rides, and danced with Buzz Lightyear. Thanks gramma & grampa - we LOVE you!!
