Our Poor Baby!

We took Ashlyn to Urgent Care today. She has been sick for the past few days with a really high temperature (102.4 - 103.2). Turns out she has the flu, an earache, a urinary tract infection and strep throat (most likely - she wouldn't let them stick that stick down her throat for a 2nd time - but they are almost positive). She has been sleeping a lot and has missed all week of school. I am had our carpets cleaned on Thursday - so she had to take a nap in the hammock. I hope she is feeling well soon.

Cougar Fun Run

OK - here it is FINALLY!! The pictures that I promised from the 2009 Cooper Mountain Cougar Fun Run. Kenna did AWESOME. She ran 19 laps and had a great time. We brought Ashy along also and she got out there and ran with her big sister. Ash ran 4 laps. They both had a lot of fun. Kenna's class won the pizza party for first grade - she is so excited about that.

Kenna wants to send a special GREAT BIG THANK YOU to all those who supported her in the fun run and helped the school get closer to their goal of raising money for new computers & visits from authors for next year. hApPy BiRtHdAy To Me!!

I woke up this morning and thought WOW ... how can I be this old?? Kenna asked me the other day if there were dinosaurs around when I was a little girl. Can you believe that? So you know what I told her?? No - that was only when gramma & grampa & grammy & grampy were little. ha! ha! I am so bad. Anyway - happy birthday to me - YEAH! Thanks everyone for the great birthday wishes. And a SUPER BIG thanks to my brother for remembering me today. Oh wait - that's right ... he forgot!!!

oUr GarDeN

It is that time of year again - time to work on our garden. This year we have added a border to it. thanks to Brad & Thor for hauling those HUGE railroad ties to the backyard - man those were heavy. We now have a raised garden.

The girls are having a great time watching everything grow. So far we have planted: peas (Ashlyn's favorites), tomatoes, watermelon, cucumbers, peppers, basil, and pumpkins (Kenna's favorites).

We can't wait for everything to grow. The girls are helping out by watering, letting us know if there is anything there yet and having a blast looking for bugs & worms. As they have learned from Mr. Mark (the worm guy) - worms are great for our garden!

GUESS WHAT!!!!!

I found most of my pictures. I had saved them on the computer downstairs. I only lost about a week's worth of pictures ... that is not so bad. But I have learned my lesson and I download after each outing now. Go back and take a look - I am catching up on my back blogging. ENJOY!!

8 Years Ago ....

I can't believe it. 8 years ago today I was in Lake Tahoe getting married to Brad. Where has the time gone? It seems like it was just yesterday - WOW I am feeling old. Happy Anniversary!
