Today was St Nicholas Day. He came and filled our stockings with our Christmas Pajamas and he also left a new Christmas outfit and of course CANDY!! Happy St Nicholas Day!!

Lucas Family Christmas Tree 2011

This year for our Christmas tree we got to Polaris out on a wet pouring day and searched our property for the perfect Christmas tree. What we ended up with is the most perfect "Charlie Brown" tree ever. The tree really did look much fuller before we cut it down. But it was so tall, we had to resize it twice before it actually fit in our house (and we have very high ceilings). Brad said that he gets to pick out the tree next year. But let me say: I love the way you can see all our Christmas ornaments. I think it is beautiful! Merry Christmas.

Thanksgiving 2011

This Thanksgiving we spent the weekend in Greyland, WA at Bett's family's beach houses. It was so nice because this was the first time that all the Lucas families have been together since Spencer & Bett's wedding over 3 years ago. We
had a big Thanksgiving dinner on Thursday, spent time at the beach. On Friday we went to Gail & John's (Bett's parents house) for a Day after Thanksgiving get together. It was really nice and the kids had so much fun playing on the stairs and piano. On Saturday we had family pictures taken - All of us together. I can't wait to see how they turn out! It was so nice to see everyone. I hope this becomes a new Lucas Family Tradition!!

Cirque du Soleil

One of Brad's friends gave us tickets to see Cirque du Soleil - The Michael Jackson Experience tonight. Brad being the "giver" that he is, gave his ticket to his mom to come with me & the girls. Kenna has been wanting to see a Cirque performance for years now. She had a great time. It was a late show (it didn't start till after 8pm). Ashlyn made it almost through the whole thing. I had to carry her to the car at the end of the shoe. We all had a good time - it was AMAZING!

Our First Snow!!

Look how pretty!! We got snow - our first snow in the new house. We love it. We knew we would get snow, but how much would we get - we didn't know. I hope we have a white winter. Here are some pictures ...

Brad thought he was so funny to make the snow plow get me with the snow. It was a lot of snow & I just stood there ... what a dork!

This is how I take the girls to & from school. The bus picks them up at the front gate - it is about a mile down the hill. This is our Polaris Ranger - it has a heater & Brad of course added a stereo.
